Barcelona meet Alaves on Saturday evening in Matchday 11 of LaLiga, seeking to maintain their lead at the top of the table following their recent defeat to Real Madrid.

Barcelona go into the match after their recent 1-2 defeat to Real Madrid at home, their second loss in the last three matches following a 2-4 away defeat to Paris Saint-Germain. Despite this, the team achieved two consecutive wins before that against Real Betis 5-2 and Galatasaray 4-1, in addition to a 3-0 win over Getafe.

Alaves, meanwhile, come into the match following modest results, having drawn 1-1 with Malaga in their last match, and before that losing 1-2 to Celta Vigo and 1-2 to Atletico Madrid at home. The team also drew 0-0 with Athletic Bilbao and lost 0-1 to Valencia.

Barcelona top the LaLiga standings with 27 points from 10 matches, having achieved 9 wins and 1 loss, scoring 40 goals and conceding just 11. Alaves, meanwhile, sit in seventh place with 12 points from 10 matches, having achieved 3 wins, 3 draws and 4 losses, scoring 14 goals and conceding 11.
