Diyala and Al Zawra'a meet next Saturday in round 12 of the Iraq Stars League, in a match pitting a side seeking to improve its league position against another looking to return to winning ways after a run of poor results.

Diyala host Al Zawra'a in round 12 of the Iraq Stars League

[Diyala](https://riyadaty.com/en/team/diyala-85) will host [Al Zawra'a](https://riyadaty.com/en/team/al-zawra-a-88) on Saturday 31 October 2026 at 17:00 Saudi time (the same as Damascus time), in round 12 of the [Iraq Stars League](https://riyadaty.com/en/competition/iraq-stars-league-7) for the 2026/27 season, with the match broadcast on Iraqiya Sports channel.

Diyala go into the match after a goalless 0-0 draw away to Nawroz in their last outing, having previously beaten Naft Maysan 2-0 at home, while losing 0-2 away to Al Naft, and before that drawing 1-1 with Al Quwa Al Jawiya and beating Al Gharraf 3-1.

Al Zawra'a, meanwhile, arrive on the back of a run of poor results, having lost their last three matches in a row, 0-2 at home to Al Shorta, then 0-1 away to Gaz Al Shamal, and before that 0-3 away to Duhok, after having previously secured two consecutive wins, 2-0 over Al Gharraf and 1-0 over Al Quwa Al Jawiya.

In previous meetings between the two sides, Al Zawra'a beat Diyala 2-0 on 22 April 2026, while their match on 13 January 2026 ended in a 1-1 draw at Diyala's ground, and Al Zawra'a also won 1-0 on 8 May 2025, while the two sides drew 1-1 on 23 January 2025.

In the league standings, Al Zawra'a sit sixth with 18 points from 11 matches, having recorded 5 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses, scoring 15 goals and conceding 9.

Diyala, meanwhile, are in 12th place with 13 points from 11 matches, having won 3, drawn 4 and lost 4, scoring 15 goals and conceding 16.
