Home United go into the match on the back of a good run of results, having beaten Adelaide United 2-0 on 29 October, beaten Woo Fu Tai Bo 1-0 on 15 October, and drawn 1-1 with PG Patom United on 17 September, as well as previously beating Selangor 1-0 and Persib Bandung 3-2.

Adelaide United, meanwhile, are looking to make amends after losing 0-2 to Home United on 29 October, despite beating PG Patom United 2-1 on 15 October and Woo Fu Tai Bo 3-0 on 17 September, though they also suffered a 0-2 defeat to Cong An Hanoi on 11 August.

The last meeting between the two sides on 29 October 2026 showed Home United's 2-0 superiority when they visited Adelaide United.
