Jofre Carreras returns to fitness with Espanyol after thigh injury

[Espanyol](https://riyadaty.com/en/team/espanyol-229) have announced that their player [Jofre Carreras](https://riyadaty.com/en/player/jofre-carreras-pag%C3%A8s-6645) has recovered from a thigh injury and has returned to full team training in preparation to rejoin the squad.

Carreras had been out of action since 9 October 2026 due to the injury, before announcing his full recovery on 17 October 2026, following an 8-day absence.

Espanyol fans are now hoping to see the player feature in the team's upcoming match against Atletico Madrid, scheduled for matchday 9 of the 2026/27 La Liga season.

The match will be held at Espanyol's stadium on 17 October 2026, at 15:00 Damascus time.
