Real Betis go into the match on the back of a run of positive results, having won their last two matches against Porto 3-2 and Osasuna 5-2, preceded by a 1-1 draw with Deportivo La Coruna, and wins over Getafe 1-0 and Villarreal 2-1.

Barcelona, meanwhile, have maintained a perfect record of victories in their last five matches, beating Galatasaray 4-1, Getafe 3-0, Sevilla 3-1, Racing Santander 7-2 and Levante 4-2.

Real Betis will be without Junior Firpo and Aitor Ruibal through injury, as well as Iker Losada for other reasons. Barcelona, meanwhile, are missing Bardghji, Andreas Bodtker Christensen and F. de Jong due to injury.

Barcelona top the standings with 24 points from 8 matches, having recorded 8 wins without a single loss or draw, with a goal difference of 34 to 7. Real Betis sit third with 19 points from 8 matches, having won 6, drawn 1 and lost 1, scoring 14 goals and conceding 9.
