Smal returns to Feyenoord squad after injury absence

[Feyenoord](https://riyadaty.com/en/team/feyenoord-294) have announced the return of their player [G. Smal](https://riyadaty.com/en/player/g-smal-9598) to training and first-team action after recovering from an ankle injury.

Smal had been sidelined since 14 October 2026 due to the injury, before officially announcing his recovery on 21 October 2026, following an absence of 7 days.

The player's return comes at an important time for his side, who are preparing to face Real Betis in matchday three of the league phase of the 2026/27 Champions League.

The match is scheduled to take place at 22:00 Saudi Arabia time (the same as Damascus time) on 21 October 2026, with Feyenoord travelling to face Real Betis away from home.

The match will be broadcast on beIN SPORTS.
