André Luiz scores twice as Sporting Kansas City draw 3-3 with Portland Timbers

Forward André Luiz scored twice for his team Sporting Kansas City in the match against Portland Timbers, which ended in a 3-3 draw in round 28 of the MLS for the 2026 season.

The match was held on 11 October, Damascus time, kicking off at 3:30 am, and was broadcast by Apple TV.

Portland Timbers opened the scoring through David Pereira da Costa in the 10th minute, before Vincent Jansen added the team's second goal from a penalty kick in the 45+4th minute.

Shortly before the end of the first half, André Luiz narrowed the gap for Sporting Kansas City in the 45+7th minute.

In the second half, Portland Timbers widened the gap again through Ariel Daniel Lassiter Acuña in the 64th minute, before Justin Reynolds equalised the score for Sporting Kansas City in the 70th minute.

André Luiz completed his outstanding performance by scoring his second goal and his team's third goal in the 72nd minute, sealing the 3-3 draw between the two sides.
