Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains how Shard Soft LTD ("we") collects, uses and discloses your personal information when you use the Riyadaty website ("the site") and the Riyadaty app for iOS and Android ("the app"). The site and the app share one account, and this policy covers both.

1. Information we collect

• Account data: your name and email, and your password (hashed) if you sign up with one.
• Your preferences: the clubs, players and competitions you follow, the alerts you turn on, and your language.
• What you post: comments, predictions and private leagues, correspondents' reports, requests to add or claim a place, and messages sent through our contact page.
• App notifications: your device's push token, so we can send notifications to it.
• Usage data: IP address, browser and device type, and access times.
• If you sign in with Google, Facebook or Apple: the data described in section 3.

2. How we use your information

• To provide and improve the site and the app, and to tailor what you see to what you follow.
• To send the alerts you turned on (goals, line-ups, results, news).
• To show what you post publicly (comments, the predictions table under your display name, correspondents' reports).
• To answer your messages and contact you about your account.
• To protect the site from abuse and meet our legal obligations under Syrian law.

3. Signing in with Google, Facebook or Apple

If you choose to sign in with Google, Facebook or Apple, we receive your name, your email (if the provider shares it) and the identifier the provider assigns to your account, and we store them to recognise you next time. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email", we only receive the relay address Apple gives us. We never receive your password for these services, and we never post anything on your behalf.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information with third parties only as far as needed to run our services, to meet legal requirements, or to protect our rights.

What you post publicly (comments, your name in the predictions table, correspondents' reports, and the contact details place owners add to the directory) is visible to everyone using the site and the app.

Service providers that process data on our behalf:

• Google Cloud: hosting, database and file storage.
• Cloudflare: content delivery and attack protection; all traffic to the site passes through it.
• Microsoft 365: sending account emails, and receiving messages you send to our addresses.
• Sentry: crash reports from the site and the app, to find and fix errors.
• Expo, Apple and Google: delivering app notifications to your device.
• Google, Facebook (Meta) and Apple: only when you choose to sign in with them.

5. Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, unless the law requires longer. When you delete your account, your profile data and preferences are deleted immediately (see section 8). Technical server logs that may contain your IP address are deleted within 90 days.

6. Cookies

We use the cookies the site needs to work: keeping you signed in, remembering your language and protecting forms. We do not use them to track you across other sites.

7. Your rights

Under Syrian law you may have the right to see the personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, and to ask us to delete it. To use these rights, write to us through the contact page, or delete your account yourself as in section 8.

8. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from your account page on the site or from your profile in the app. If you can no longer sign in, write to us through the contact page from the address on the account. Full instructions are on the account and data deletion page.

9. Data security

We apply appropriate security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time and will publish the new version on this page with its effective date.
