Benfica host Lech Poznan in Matchday 4 of the Europa League league phase

Benfica host Lech Poznan on 5 November 2026 at 23:00 Saudi Arabia time (Damascus), in Matchday 4 of the league phase of the 2026/27 UEFA Europa League, with the match broadcast on beIN Sports.

Benfica go into the game in excellent form, having won their last four matches, the most recent of which was a 2-1 away win over Santa Clara, along with a big 4-1 victory over Omonia Nicosia, and before that wins over Celtic 4-1 and Vitoria 2-0, with their only defeat in that run coming against Porto by 1-3.

By contrast, Lech Poznan are going through a difficult spell, having drawn 1-1 at home with Sunderland in their last match, before suffering a heavy 4-0 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen, and also losing 0-4 to Crystal Palace, while they had earlier drawn 2-2 with Thun and previously beaten them heavily 7-0.

Previous meetings between the two sides point to a clear superiority for Benfica, who won both matches between them, winning 4-0 at home on 3 December 2020, and winning 4-2 at Lech Poznan's ground on 22 October of the same year.

Benfica top the standings with 9 points from three matches, winning all of them, scoring 10 goals and conceding only two, while Lech Poznan sit in 32nd place with just 1 point from three matches, having drawn once and lost twice, scoring one goal and conceding nine.
