Diaoune scores brace against Galatasaray but Lille fall 2-4 in Champions League

Soriba Diaoune scored two goals for Lille in the match against their visitors Galatasaray of Turkey, in Matchday 3 of the league phase of the UEFA Champions League, at 19:45 Damascus time on 21 October 2026.

Yunus Akgun opened the scoring for Galatasaray in the 2nd minute, before Soriba Diaoune equalised for the home side in the 7th minute.

Diaoune added his second goal, his team's second, in the 39th minute to put Lille ahead, before Aleksei Batrakov equalised for Galatasaray in the 44th minute just before the end of the first half.

In the second half, Berke Ozer scored an own goal in the 52nd minute for Galatasaray, then Victor Osimhen added his team's fourth goal in the 61st minute.

The match ended with Galatasaray beating Lille 4-2, despite the brace scored by Soriba Diaoune.
