Huddersfield to host Exeter City in FA Cup first round

Huddersfield will host Exeter City in a clash between the two sides in the first round of the FA Cup for the 2026 season, on 7 November 2026 at 18:00 Damascus and Saudi Arabia time.

In their last five matches, Huddersfield have failed to register a single win, losing 1-2 away to Bolton on 1 November 2025, suffering a 0-1 defeat to Tamworth on 1 November 2024, and another loss 0-2 to Ipswich Town, in addition to a 1-1 draw with Birmingham at home, and a heavy 0-4 defeat at home to Swansea.

Exeter City, meanwhile, go into the match with mixed morale, having suffered a heavy 1-10 defeat away to Manchester City on 10 January 2026, but having previously secured two consecutive wins, one 4-0 at home over Wycombe, and the other 2-0 away over Halifax Town, as well as a 2-2 draw at home with Nottingham Forest, and a 3-1 win at home over Oxford United.

This match comes as part of the first round of the FA Cup, with each side looking to overcome this hurdle and qualify for the next round of the competition.
