Matteo Ruggeri returns to training with Aston Villa after injury
Aston Villa player Matteo Ruggeri has recovered from his injury and is available again, after a 7-day absence, ahead of the clash with Viking in the UEFA Champions League.
Aston Villa have announced the return of their player Matteo Ruggeri to the squad after recovering from the injury that kept him off the pitch.
Ruggeri had been out since 14 October 2026 due to injury, before returning to action again on 21 October 2026, following a 7-day absence.
Aston Villa are now looking ahead to their meeting with Viking in the third round of the league phase of the UEFA Champions League for the 2026/27 season.
The match is scheduled to be played at Aston Villa's home ground, kicking off at 22:00 Saudi Arabia time (same as Damascus time).
The match will be broadcast on beIN SPORTS.
