Moralez had been absent from the pitch since 10 October 2026 due to his knee injury, before announcing his recovery and readiness to return on 14 October 2026, following an absence of 4 days.
New York City FC are set to play their next match in round 29 of the 2026 American football league season against Inter Miami at the latter's stadium.
