Oldham host Sheffield Wednesday in first round of the FA Cup

Oldham will host Sheffield Wednesday in a match to be played on 8 November 2026 at 20:15 Saudi time (the same as Damascus time), as part of the 1/128 round of the FA Cup for the 2026 season.

Regarding the recent form of hosts Oldham, they lost their last match against Milton Keynes Dons 1-3 away from home on 6 December 2025, after having beaten Northampton 3-1 at home on 1 November 2025. They had also previously lost to Leyton Orient 1-2 away, beaten Tranmere 2-1 also away from home, in addition to beating Halifax Town 4-2 at home.

As for visitors Sheffield Wednesday, they secured a win in their last outing against West Bromwich 2-1 at home on 2 May 2026, after losing to Oxford United 1-4 away on 25 April 2026, and also losing to Middlesbrough 0-1 away. They also drew with Charlton 1-1 at home, and drew with Coventry City 0-0 away.

This match comes as part of the first round of the FA Cup for the 2026 season, with both teams looking to continue their journey in the competition.
