Ribeiro leads Augsburg to victory over Sonnenhof Grossaspach in DFB-Pokal

FC Augsburg beat hosts SG Sonnenhof Grossaspach 4-2 in a match held in the round of 32 of the DFB-Pokal, on 27 October 2026 at 20:00 Damascus time.

The star of the match was Rodrigo Ribeiro, who scored twice for Augsburg in the 13th and 21st minutes, putting his side ahead early.

SG Sonnenhof Grossaspach narrowed the gap through a goal from Luca Demianu Molinar in the 22nd minute, before Volkan Celiktas added a second goal at the start of the second half in the 46th minute to level the score.

But Augsburg regained the initiative with two goals in the second half, scored by Arijon Ibrahimovic in the 69th minute and Anton Kade in the 74th minute, sealing the match in their favour 4-2.

With this win, Augsburg managed to overcome the obstacle of SG Sonnenhof Grossaspach and qualify for the next round of the DFB-Pokal.
