Rioja returns to Valencia squad after recovering from heel injury
Luis Rioja, the Valencia player, has recovered from a heel injury that kept him out for 6 days, becoming ready to face Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish league.
Spanish club Valencia announced the recovery of their player Luis Rioja from a heel injury and his return to group training in preparation for taking part with the team again.
Rioja had been absent from the pitch since 11 October 2026 due to the aforementioned injury, before the club officially announced his return on 17 October 2026, after an absence lasting 6 days.
Valencia await a match against Athletic Bilbao as part of the ninth round of the Spanish league for the 2026/27 season, to be played at their own stadium as hosts.
The match will take place at 22:00 Damascus time, and will be broadcast by beIN Sports.
Valencia hope to benefit from Rioja's return to strengthen their squad in this important match in the domestic league.
