Vancouver Whitecaps have announced that their player Samuel Ayomide Adekugbe has recovered from a muscle injury that had kept him out of action with the team.
Adekugbe had been absent from the pitch since 15 October 2026 before returning to training on 18 October 2026, meaning he was out for just 3 days.
The team are hoping the player will feature in round 31 of the American football league for the 2026 season.
Vancouver Whitecaps will face hosts Colorado Rapids in a match on 25 October 2026 at 03:30 Saudi time (the same time as Damascus).
