Mac Allister leads Liverpool to thrilling 4-3 win over Villarreal in Champions League

Liverpool beat visitors Villarreal 4-3 in an exciting match held as part of Matchday 3 of the league phase in the UEFA Champions League, on 20 October 2026 Saudi Arabia time (Damascus).

Argentine star Alexis Mac Allister was the standout performer in the match after scoring two goals for his side Liverpool, the first in the 36th minute and the second in the 65th minute.

Villarreal started the match strongly with two early goals, the first scored by Georges Mikautadze in the 4th minute, then Sergi Cardona added the second goal in the 29th minute.

Before the end of the first half, Mac Allister narrowed the gap with his first goal in the 36th minute, then Ronald Araujo equalised for Liverpool in the 45+2 minute.
